ARSA Systems Company ("ARSA Systems," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of users of Lumi ("Lumi" or the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Lumi and its related services.
By using Lumi, you acknowledge that information you provide through the App may be processed as described in this Privacy Policy and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
1. Information Lumi Processes
Lumi is designed to provide translation and language-assistance services. When you use its translation features, Lumi processes the text or content that you choose to submit, including relevant context when a feature requires contextual processing.
Lumi does not require you to include personal information in content submitted for translation. We recommend that you avoid submitting unnecessary personal or sensitive information when using the service.
Limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, and maintain the service may also be processed, such as information associated with requests, errors, performance, and prevention of misuse.
Lumi requires no account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or device identifier. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.
Please do not submit personal data about other people, such as names, numbers, or details taken from other people's messages.
The arsasystems.com website uses Cloudflare analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify visitors.
2. How We Use Information
Information and content processed through Lumi are used as necessary to provide and operate the service, including to:
- Process translation and language-related requests.
- Return requested results to users.
- Operate, secure, and maintain the service.
- Identify and resolve technical errors and performance issues.
- Prevent misuse and protect our systems.
ARSA Systems does not sell text submitted by users or use submitted text for targeted advertising.
Legal basis: We process your text to fulfil your request under the Terms of Use, and on your in-app consent to send it to the AI provider. We process limited technical data for our legitimate interest in securing the service. You are not required to provide any personal data; the text you submit is the only data needed.
3. AI and Translation Processing
Certain Lumi features use artificial intelligence technologies to provide translation and language-processing functionality.
When content is submitted for translation or processing, it may be transmitted to and processed by trusted third-party technology service providers, including infrastructure, computing, and artificial intelligence service providers, to the extent necessary to provide the functionality requested by the user.
These providers support the operation of Lumi as service providers. We seek to use services that provide appropriate safeguards for information in accordance with applicable legal and contractual requirements.
The technical infrastructure and service providers used by Lumi may change from time to time as the service evolves, while the privacy principles described in this Policy will continue to apply.
4. Translation History
Translation history displayed within Lumi is, under the App's current design, stored locally on the user's device.
ARSA Systems does not maintain a centralized database of users' translation histories solely for the purpose of providing the translation-history feature.
Users may manage or remove locally stored history through functionality available within the App or their device, depending on the version of Lumi and the operating system.
5. Service Providers
We may use technology service providers to operate Lumi, including providers of:
- Cloud computing and infrastructure.
- Artificial intelligence and language processing.
- Security and abuse prevention.
- Other technical services necessary to operate the App.
Information shared with these providers is limited to what is reasonably necessary to provide and operate Lumi and is subject to applicable legal and contractual safeguards.
Some information may be processed by service providers operating from locations outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, subject to applicable legal requirements governing such processing and transfers.
Current providers and transfers outside the Kingdom:
- Anthropic, PBC (USA) provides the Claude model. It receives the text you send, plus the surrounding sentence if any, as our processor and only to produce your result. Under its commercial terms it does not train on this content, and it keeps it for a limited period for safety (currently 30 days at most), then deletes it.
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts our relay server and briefly processes your IP address to route requests, rate-limit, and protect the service. We do not keep request logs on our server.
We never send your IP address or any device identifier to Anthropic, and we share data only with parties contractually bound to protection no less than this Policy. Processing may occur in the US or other countries, limited to the minimum needed to provide the service.
6. Data Retention
ARSA Systems follows a data-minimization approach and does not seek to retain content submitted for translation longer than necessary to provide the service and fulfill legitimate operational or legal requirements.
Technology service providers may retain certain information for limited periods where necessary for operational, security, legal, or contractual purposes.
Translation history within Lumi is stored locally on the user's device under the App's current design, as described above.
7. Information Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information during transmission and processing and to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law, including the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law ("PDPL") where applicable, users may have rights relating to their personal data, including rights to be informed, access their personal data, obtain a copy, request correction, completion or updating, and request destruction when applicable. Users may also withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis for processing, subject to applicable legal requirements and exceptions.

We will handle applicable requests in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and we respond to privacy requests within 30 days.
Withdrawing consent and deletion: You can withdraw consent at any time in the app under "About" → "Send words to AI", which stops all sending. Clear your history under "History" → "Clear All", or by deleting the app.
Where information exists solely on a user's device and ARSA Systems does not possess a copy, that information may not be accessible to us for retrieval or deletion on the user's behalf.
9. Children's Privacy
Lumi is not specifically directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If we become aware that personal information from a child has been collected in circumstances requiring parental consent or other legal authorization, we will take appropriate steps to handle that information in accordance with applicable requirements.
10. Legal Disclosures
We may retain or disclose information where required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or other binding legal process, or where permitted by law and reasonably necessary to protect the rights of ARSA Systems, the security of the service, or its users.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
Lumi or the ARSA Systems website may contain links to services operated by third parties. This Privacy Policy does not govern independent websites or services operated by those third parties, and their own privacy policies may apply.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Lumi, our operations, or applicable legal requirements.
The updated version will be published with a revised "Last Updated" date. Where a material change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to provide it.
